This picture book is dedicated primarily to newborns and visually impaired people. It consists of 10 original maritime illustrations based on Summer font – included by cutting letters, combining characters. The graphics have been transferred to OEKO-TEX certified cotton fabrics by using the possibilities offered by computer embroidery. Dimensions are 15×15 cm. Newborns have blurred flat vision, and are unable to distinguish colours. Children from 2 months of age, begin to adapt to a sharper and more expressive perception of objects. A booklet with black and white contrasting illustrations, can be a daily help in training your eyesight. In addition to this, the designs can be used in occupational therapy for the visually impaired and blind. Due to the texture of embroidered elements felt under the fingertips, these people can run their fingers across the spread, hence stimulating their senses and ideas about the objects and phenomena that surround us on a daily basis.
