The Book of Sand

The work is an illustration of a short story from 1975 about a mysterious and monstrous book, written by Jorge Luis Borges. The complete work consists of an object, a book made of Plexiglas, and ten printed pages on paper. Plexiglas pages are used as printing plates, and the durability of the material allows the owner to print an unlimited number of copies. The transparency of the book emphasizes its confusing nature, and the possibility of endless printing and the free form of the pages support the narrative of the story “neither the book nor the sand has a beginning nor an end”.
