We’re not meant for happiness, you and I
The object is made from the book block of a real book. I first make a mold from the book block. Then I chop up the block, boil it, add glue, pressing the resulting mass into the previously created mold. The temperature- controlled drying process takes up to ten weeks. The finished object has the same dimension as the block that was used for it. The materiality, color and surface qualities of the finished object are determined by the paper and the print in the book that was used. The title of the respective object is a quote from the book used, revealing something about it. Its literary content is henceforth accessible only by reflection.
